Classic Aladdin Thermal Mug
The most famous Aladdin thermal mug was the large Aladdin insulated coffee mug that was sold in grocery stores, gas stations and convenience stores throughout the 1970s. These mugs were large, sturdy and well insulated with a double walled construction with insulating urethane foam injected between the walls. These iconic mugs were great in that they were relatively inexpensive, very sturdy, and could keep a large amount of coffee warm for quite some time. They also were available in a number of colors.
When the original Aladdin Industries went out of business in 2002 and was taken over by Pacific Market International, production of Aladdin’s classic thermal mugs was not continued. Fortunately though, ThermoServ has resurrected Aladdin’s original mugs by using the original molds (according to the company) and producing the thermal mugs in a variety of colors. These reissued Aladdin mugs are still insulated with urethane foam, are dishwasher safe, hold a LOT of coffee (up to 34 ounces!), are available in a wide variety of colors and unlike many current thermal mugs, are made in the United States. The one drawback of these classic designs is that they will not fit in a standard car cup holder due to their size.
